- Valladolid is a a modern city and the capital of the Community of Castilla y Leon. It has nearly 400,000 inhabitants and excellent communications with the rest of the country by bus, train and air. These services include the high speed train from Madrid and flights to several European cities.
- It is the site for our Spanish courses because it is the city where the “purest Spanish” is spoken. It offers a great opportunity to get to know the Spanish language and culture and plenty of occasions to have fun in one of the liveliest cities in Spain.

- Castilla y León holds the most important Historical and Cultural Heritage of Spain: three of its cities are considered world heritage sites by UNESCO, and there are many museums, castles, cathedrals, routes and protected natural settings. In addition to the courses, CEHCYL offers a wide selection of excursions to get to know and admire other interesting cities near Valladolid: Madrid, Salamanca and Segovia and tours around the province.
- Wine and food tastings are important elements in our programs as well as active participation in all the activities taking place in the city and region during the courses.
- Every season of the year there are important theater and music events. The Summer is the time for outdoor concerts and every Fall, the program “Valladolid vive la Música” brings to the city important national and international artists who perform in the main theaters of our city.
