SEMINAR

During a school visit.

The Center for Hispanic Studies of Castilla y León is holding the Pedagogical Seminar “Education in Spain 2010″ in July.

Objectives

Field visit

To offer educators and teacher trainers from Mexico an introduction to the Spanish educational system through information sessions and meetings with specialists and field visits to different educational centers.
To foster the exchange of ideas, materials and resources between Mexican and Spanish educators.
To create links of exchange and communication between classroom teachers of the two countries, so that their students can participate in these exchanges.
To introduce the participants to some of the most significant places of the Communities of Castilla y Leon and Madrid.

Program

School visit and interview.

The program includes a three day stay in Madrid and four days in Valladolid. During the time in each city, there will be visits to educational centers of different kinds and there will be meetings with educators and teacher trainers and information sessions and lectures.

Sightseeing in Salamanca.

Time will be dedicated to visit the main tourist attractions of Madrid and Valladolid and from this city there will be a full day excursion to Salamanca and two half day excursions to Peñafiel and Burgos.

Food tasting.

The program includes food tastings in Madrid and Valladolid and attendance to a show in each city.

School visit.

Program dates

Space in the Seminar is limited. There are three different arrival dates during the month of July. It is important to confirm the availability of dates and reserve as soon as possible.
